Q：KSTAR has a series of Data centers solution，isn't it？

A: Yes，data centers are the heart of every IT infrastructure and mission critical in every company. Its importance is self-evident. Our company has been focusing on power supply for data center products for many years. And we have a series of all-in-one datacenters which can meet the requirements of customers in various industries.

Q：How can modular data center get high power efficiency ？

A: There are 2 main reasons for them to get the high power efficiency. One is structure. For this kind of solution, it separate cold air from hot air , in this way, it avoids the mixture of cold air and hot air and reduce the cooling lost. For the cooling system it can increase the return air temperature and make the cooling system have higher efficiency and get higher cooling capacity.The second reason is that many manufacturer ,for example KSTAR, they choose high efficient subsystem such as UPS, cooling system.

Q:I  think that this solution will increase the cost because the high efficient subsystem, right？

A:In fact, this solution reduces the cost of customer especially for end users. Electricity bill is a big burden for you customers. Modular data center has lower PUE compare to traditional data center.  PUE is abbreviation of power usage efficiency. The PUE of Kstar all-in-one solution is almost 1.3,  whereas a traditional datacenter may run at a PUE of 2 or 3.

Let's take small data center with 30Kw load as a example and make a comparison, each day, modular data center can save 504 Kwh electricity, if the price of 1 Kwh is 0.15 dollars, it can save 27594 dollar every year, So it can help you save a lot of money on electricity bills.

Q：Oh, that is amazing. And why can modular data center be deployment so quickly.

A: There are several reasons why it can be quickly deployed: Firstly, all subsystems are tested and debugged at the factory, you can only assemble on site. Secondely, the subsystem adopts a modular design, which is easy to connect and install on site. For this solution, it will reduce the requirement of installation space, even it can reduce the raise floor.

Q: Get it. Can you please introduce KSTAR modular data center solution？

A: Of course. KSTAR modular data center include 2 kinds, the first kind is IDU, integrated data center cabinet. It’s cabinet data center. The other is an integrated data center module which can be used in small to middle data center. Today I will pay more attention on IDU, because it has very good sale performance overseas. IDU can be used in the application that the cabinet is within 10 and total load is less than 40kVA.Usually, we give solution according to customer’s requirement. Normally, there are three options: single cabinet series, dual rack series, and multi-cabinet series.

In addition, KSTAR can be consider as the only manufacturer who can supply all of the subsystem, including UPS,Cooling, battery, cabinet, power distribution and monitor system.

You can see this is our UPS, power panle,battery, fire fighting system.  this is our inrow cooling, all of them are integrated in one solution. This is the front aisle, the real side is hot air, as my previous introduction, this design increase the power efficiency.

And it is also equiped with a monitoring system, which can monitor the parameter of UPS, cooling, temperature and humidity, when abnormal occur, it will alarm.

Q:Can it be customized?

Right here.1 set of overseas #IDU (Integrated data center unit) is in production, this is a customized solution. We offer 12.5Kw inrow chilled water cooling to solve the problem that no space for external condenser. This reference can prove  our capability of fast response to customization.
